Unfortunately, our modern society is of a consuming-one type, which means that most of our times we are focused on how to make money, and where to spend it. This somewhat contributes to the appearance of disorganization, especially in our flats or houses. We tend to neglect to keep our living space tidy, and in time, it becomes messy pile of various items, but the problem appears when we realize that we don’t have enough space to store all of those items. Luckily, I will give you few tips on how to successfully organize your living area, without spending too much money. Read on, and organize!
Horizontal
Drawers and cabinets are often misused space, and tend to become messy and cramped. To avoid this, use a CD rack to store those items which can fit in. Plates are a bit heavier, so consider investing in plate cradle, a piece of plastic which will keep them upright, so it will make it easier for you to access them, and will save space as well. In addition, this is a topic where you can run loose your imagination, and to improvise. There is no need to buy stuff, when you can use what you already have. For example, if you lack space and organization in your drawer, simply by putting and used cardboard egg storage, you solved your problems. This can also be used in your office, so the pens and pencils won’t roll around, but rather stick in one place. Also, you can attach few hooks on your counter, in order to hang various items such as tin foil and decorative strips, in order to keep them close at hand. Magnet is your friend when it comes to knives and scissors, so consider putting one of those magnet stripes, and hand metal items which are in daily usage. Stored in such way, they are easy to access and put aside.

One of the ways you could organize your flat, is to use the height of it. Usually it means buying new closet, but that doesn’t save space, but rather wasting it. You should pick an empty wall, and grab few old crates. Those are sturdy and durable, and can endure a lot. With a saw, cut out the frontal panel, and stack up one on another. If you planning big make sure that you secure and tighten those crates, in order to keep them together. I recommend combination of glue and screws, just to be sure. Also, you could stack it up to waist-height, put a wooden panel on top, and you got yourself a dresser. Advantage here is that without front panel, you can see what’s stored inside, and use it without effort. On the other hand, if you plan to reorganize your garage, it would be wiser to use plastic crates, for those are durable and transparent, so you can see what’s inside, and moreover, you can combine different sizes.
So, I hope that I somehow managed to kickstart your imagination, you can use by the letter these tips, or you can consider them just for the base and build up your ideas on top. The choice is yours, and feel free to do however you like.
