Lawn Care Tips For A Greener Outdoor

Many people want to own a home with the best looking lawn. A beautiful outdoor is useful in moments of relaxation. It can also be use for parties and celebrations. In summer, a lush lawn contributes to cooler homes. Above all, great surroundings increase the value of the property.

Maintaining a lawn however requires a lot of work. Among others it involves cutting, pruning, cleaning, watering, and feeding.  Weeds will overrun the green outdoor space without the right lawn care. For a greener and better lawn here are some basic tips.

1.       Learn the basics of watering and mowing. Yard becomes vulnerable to weeds and diseases when these important activities are overdone.
Watering

·         Always water your yard in the morning. Watering at night creates environment for diseases because more often water sits on the thatch.

·         Choose to water deeply by schedule instead of watering daily. Watering your lawn every day can be harmful.

·         Soak the lawn. While grasses are stressed during dry months and may require frequent watering, the most effective gardening tactic here is to soak the lawn. This practice enables grasses to reach for underground water because the roots grow deeper. They get enough moisture underneath the surface. The effect is that grass and plants will remain green despite the warm temperature.

·         Be aware of the weather conditions in your area and get advice from experts if needed. In Utah, depending on the weather conditions and locations there is a guide provided. You can check the ideal frequency of watering as recommended by the Division of Water Resources.
Mowing

·         Never cut below three inches of your grass. This is the basic thing you should remember when mowing. More weeds will come out if you have the soil exposed to more sunlight.

·         In summer, it helps if you have taller grasses as they are more resilient to stress brought about by the heat. Give the lawn mower a rest.

2.       Give your yard a new look.  Replace some grassy areas with flowerbeds or other plants. There are flowers and shrubs that do not require much maintenance. Adding some of these will result in a colorful yard.

3.       Let professionals and experts in lawn care take care of your yard. While it is relaxing to work outdoor, doing the entire job requires you much time. Know that you have limitations too. To achieve a beautiful lawn, let the experts handle every detail in your lawn. You will be assured of a greener and better front yards with the right lawn care services.
