Ever seen the children’s room with just a bed, side tables, armchairs and a dresser? No, Right? For children their rooms are like their worlds; a place where they build up their imagination, creativity; a room that’s their cocoon of enjoyment and pleasure. And so, it is on you to help them build their worlds as colorful as any kids imagination would be.

One of the most important things to consider while decorating your kids room is the color. Colors of a room have a strong impact on us, thus it is important to decide what colors you want to add to your kids room. Bright and bold colors normally pick the mood and make one more energetic and lively and so it would be a good idea to play with bright colors in your kid’s room. Normally children like to have brighter colors in their rooms too. But you should combine them with some soothing colors to keep them relax also and that it doesn’t get so hard on them while falling sleep. A serious suggestion; let your child decide what color they would like to have for their room. Let them bring out their choice of colors for their own room that they would love to wake up to everyday. Normally a girls room is more inclined towards the shades of pinks; boys with blues but you should consider to have some soft or pastel colors for the babies rooms so it is soothing for your baby to sleep in.
The next big component of your children’s room is the furniture. Now bear keep in mind that the furniture is considered as a one time investment but nonetheless will be used by your kids, therefore should be of their liking as well. So it is crucial to decide carefully what sort of furniture you should get for your kids room, since its going to stay there for at least a few years. It is also important to keep in mind that a crib will very soon be replaced by a bed, but the bed will stay in till maybe the naughty kids break it or till they become conscious of their choices as their taste change as they grow older. You can have closets, shelves, book racks, even a set of small table and chairs for them but they will like to have all these basic furniture items in their rooms as you creatively add them to their rooms.
Children have a great sense of imagination and individually are very unique in their creativity. To help build their creative sides, you can look into adding some smart art in their room. You could paint the walls with interesting graffiti’s; sun, trees, birds or even their favorite cartoon characters. Or you can add material as decoratives like hanging buntings at the ceiling or balls. For older children, you will have to make their rooms more interactive and fun for them e.g. by putting up a blackboard on the wall and letting them create their own art. The more interactive items you add to their rooms, the more they will get comfortable in creating their own worlds in it.
